BAC likes to make sure that the public is aware of water diversion applications. We want to see the applications printed in the newspapers for several consecutive weeks.
We lobby:
- no fresh water used in Enhanced Oil Recovery
- responsible use of fresh water so it is not lost to the Water Cycle
- Coalbed Methane
The production of CBM in coal seams where fresh water is found should not be allowed.
